I am trying to include a DC jack on one of my PCBs. I am just setting up the footprints now, and I am not quite sure which pin is which. What do the symbols on the drawing mean?
I have included a snap of the schematic below, it has been taken directly from the datasheet.
If you want to evaluate the IC I would start by ordering their eval board first. This will save you the trouble of designing your own board to work with that particular IC. You can then tweak it to get the performance you are after.
In the user guide it shows this circuit. Pg 36 here.
Here you can see they used 100Ω and 1u for Rc and Cc respectively. You can also see what they chose for the other values you were curious about. To figure out how to tweak these values to fit your needs will require reading all of the documentation. EE life isn't all glamor.
Much trial and error and frying of diodes later (best to draw a veil), this is what I know:
When I unscrewed the gadget from the camera chassis, it seemed to work properly, but when I put it back in it just slammed fully open like before. The gadget is made with moving and static coils arranged very snugly in a small metal barrel case. I eventually figured out that one of the static coils was touching the case, causing S-S to short to ground when the gadget was screwed on to the chassis. To my surprise I was able to prise the cap off the barrel, stick a bit of insulating tape in there, and put it all back together without actually destroying it. I now have a working camera (except for the remaining problem of recalibrating the exposure - adjust variable resistor P1A - without a known intensity light source).

Pin 3 is the center pin, pin one connects to the barrel and pin 2 is used to detect if there is a plug inserted. The lower left drawing shows the physical pins looking at the bottom side.
