I am having Creative Inspire M2600 pc speaker. I need to connect it to a dvd player which having output of 40w-40w and not having a 3.5 mm out.
Can i connect the dvd output to a 3.5 mm female jack and plug the pc speaker's 3.5mm male to that female port. Is it possible? If not, please let me know how can it possible.

The 3.5mm output of the raspberry Pi is a line level output. It cannot drive a speaker directly. You will need an amplifier. Headphones/Earbuds vary, but are often 32 ohm, with a power rating of half or less watts. Most small speakers are 1/2/4/8 ohms, with a power rating of 1 or more watts. The line level output just can't drive them.
You can get a simple amplifier premade, or use a audio amplifier chip like the LM386 or TPA2080D1 and a few passive components and make your own.
Alternatively, you can buy a dollar store battery powered mp3/ipod speaker and gut it, powering it off one of the Raspberry's voltage output pins.
A single FET won't do the job properly because the signal is AC, and the FET has a body diode that conducts when voltage on the Drain is negative with respect to the Source. To fix this you need two FETs, connected back-to-back.
Another problem is that to keep the FET fully turned on the Gate-Source voltage must be higher than its threshold voltage. Since the amplifier output swings (almost) from rail to rail, the Gate drive voltage must be a few volts higher than Vcc. If your circuit is powered from a higher voltage that is regulated down to 3.3~5V then you may be able to tap into the unregulated supply, otherwise you might need even more parts to generate the required Gate voltage.

No, you can't connect them directly. Outputs designed to drive 40W into a pair of speakers can exceed 20V or so and damage the line level input of your M2600, which expects a signal of around 1V or so. In addition, both speaker terminals may be floating with respect to ground and the M2600 will expect one of them to be at ground, so connecting directly may damage the outputs of your DVD player.
But there is a solution. This used to be a very common issue in car audio systems where people wanted to add amplifiers but only had speaker outputs to connect them to (many head units nowadays have pre-amp outputs for this). You can use a speaker to line level converter such as this one:
