I have a situation where my polygon looks like the teeth of a comb. I don't want to have multiple polygons and I don't want to manually route the shapes.
I'd like to make one "tooth" and then just duplicate it across and where the polygons overlap, merge them into one.
I can't seem to find an option where I can merge polygons together and I would think that this would be built into the software.
If i interpret you correctly you have made a design and put it into a schematic page. The design does a specific function. Now you want to add 30 of these functions and connect them together. If you find an error you would like to make changes to the design on one place and have it propagated to all 30 instances of the function.

With Altium, if you're using a hierarchical design you will always have a single top sheet. Yet, why not simply add another sheet to the top sheet. We do you want to use Off-Sheet connectors instead of ports and connect the two sheets to each other.
This way you can put various parts to multiple sheets. The sheets are only connected using their ports which also helps with explaining the data flow (what is required where).

Building on the answer by Lovre Gaz, select both polygons that you want to merge by
shift + click. Thenright clickandPolygon Actions -> Combine Selected polygons.The thing I want to add is that I had trouble getting this command to work unless I made the polygons overlap. This command didn't do anything, even if their edges were aligned to the same grid.
So before you do this command, edit your polygons so that they overlap a bit.
