I am trying to find an electronic component that does the following.
The electronic component is basically a switch, that can switch to many different wires, based on a given input. This input can be a digital binary number or an analog input. This is used for a very low current application. I am an electronics beginner and I am not sure if such a component exists.
This will work but with a small modification. The output from the AC amplifier is decoupled via the output capacitor and therefore the voltage reaching the 4066 switch might have a strange dc value on it. The possible solution is to not ac couple but rely on the dc connection to the ac amplifier - there shouldn't be any problem designing the ac amp to have a "centred" dc rail coming from the device so that the 4066 switch is seeing an ac voltage mid-rail of its supplies.
On the most left-hand switch you ought to have a pull-down resistor after the switch and before it feeds to the AC amplifier, probably in the order of 1M ohm.
Any time you use analogue switches in this type of application you have to watch out for the switches inherent leakage currents charging up capacitors and this is always alleviated by dc coupling.
The switch you have is almost exactly like the one in the top diagram, the only difference is there are two contacts for each position, plus it has a pair of contacts for the "off" position which you can also ignore. So you can just wire it up as follows:

Although they look different in your two diagrams, they're not; the only difference is the tone control on the bottom has the middle (wiper) and end pins reversed, which makes no difference electrically.
The volume control works as a voltage divider.
The yellow component is a capacitor, and yes it goes where the 1 µF is shown in the upper diagram (which I circled in red). Along with the resistance of the pot, it forms the bass tone control by creating a variable low-pass filter like the one on this page (under the section "Knobs and Controls"), which also has a lot of other guitar circuits you might be interested in.

There are many variations of the same thing. Some are directional, and are called multiplexers (multiple inputs to one output) or demultiplexers (one input to many outputs). This is particularly true for older parts specifically for digital signals. Newer parts, and many parts for analog signals, are bi-directional - but again it depends on the type of signal. Many analog switches designed specifically for audio are bi-directional, but most video switches are unidirectional. I can't be more specific without more information about the signals you are switching.
