I could not find out what type of connector this is. It has a width of approximately 10mm, 0.5mm pitch, and 30 pins. I assume it is some kind of diagnostic port. It is part of a mobile device with OMAP4470 processor. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!
Thanks to a comment from Nick Alexeev (above, in comments), I realized that I had managed to check Mouser, Jameco, etc. but neglected to check DigiKey (of all places).
It appears that this part is one of the Molex Easy-On™ 503555 series connectors; specifically the 5035664300. Taking a look at the datasheet, the flex side of the connector also matches the description (staggered contacts).

From the look of the wires, I'd say that they are a speaker cable, and the gold pin is just to make it easier to insert the wire ends into binding posts or the wire clips that many speakers have. Are there similar wires (with or without the gold pin) elsewhere in the room (or elsewhere in the house)?
