How to Remove .html from Magento 2 Category URL

Another way would be:

1. Create a new category and call it "Home".
2. SEO Settings for this category: URL slug "startpage" or something else.
3. Rewrite "/startpage" to "/".
4. Move it to first position.

we can create separate store in sub directory, so they run on same domain (no sub domain) and there is no need to make change in httpd or .htaccess
