Magento 1.9.3.2 – Edit email/order/items.phtml Template

I can not change <th> and color in email order

I changed the file /email/order/items.phtml but it does not work

If I add another <th>not work

Instead it works if I change the file in /email/order/items/default.phtml

Found the solution: I tried all the time to change the template in this way:

<body>
    <referenceBlock name="items">
        <block class="Magento\Sales\Block\Order\Email\Items" template="Vendor_Company::email/items.phtml"/>

Instead of using this:

<body>
    <referenceBlock name="items">
        <action method="setTemplate">
            <argument name="template" xsi:type="string">Vendor_Company::email/items.phtml</argument>
        </action>
