Magento 2 – Change Default Category Product Grid Settings

Magento 2 has four products displayed per row in the category view (grid) by default.

How can i change that so it shows 9 products per page (3x3) in grid view? Currently it shows 9 products, but 4x2 + 1 product at third row.

Layout of Magento 2 is responsive layout, if you want to set 3 products for per row you need to use style sheet to do this.

You can make the change by editing the following file:

app/design/frontend/theme/default/template/catalog/product/list.phtml.

The list.phtml file contains the code which manages the display for both list & grid view.

You should see something along these lines, separating the two views:

<?php // List mode ?>
...
<?php // Grid Mode ?>

Simply make the design changes using HTML and you'll be all sorted.

Try following way to getting a selected dropdown text for product:
