Magento – Object DOMDocument should be created

I recently converted a Magento 1.9 module to be compatible with Magento 2. all was going well until I got this error:

Object DOMDocument should be created

I'm not experienced enough in Magento and PHP to figure out how to fix this so I linked the converted module below.

I put the converted module here on github.

Remove var/generation,var/di and then recompile using below command.

sudo bin/magento setup:di:compile

and then check maybe it will help you

In Magento 2.0.0 CE there are many changes are done.

You have to check for your module all .xml file. XML file header defination are changed.

You have to check all xml file xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation value from latest version core module and set that value in xml file.

    xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="urn:magento:framework:Module/etc/module.xsd".

You have to set new value for above location in your module all xml file.Your issue are solved after change xml value.

Also registation.php and composer.json file must need in module root.

This error shows when there is error in your module layout file please once double cross check that file and try to comment some of its code and debug with trial and error you should get the solution.
