Getting this error –

Looks like you don't have write permissions in the folder where magento tries to put the sessions.
In your case that's /tmp, but it shouldn't be that. it should write the sessions in MAGENTO_ROOT_DIR/var/session.
Make sure the var/session folder exists and it is writable.
"I always have admin login problems" is a bit vague but here goes
Under System > Configuration > Web the settings should be as follows
Also set "Session Lifetime (seconds)" under System > Configuration > Admin to a high value like 7200 so you don't need to login repeatedly

You may be running a different version of PHP than Magento requires. Try changing your PHP version and see if it is working correctly.
