Magento – Start with clean database

When I want to start over with a clean database in a local/dev environment, is it enough to delete all tables and let the setup/update/data scripts (Mage, custom modules, own modules…) build up everything again?

Would you end up with a ready to go database or will I miss some important table data?

I gave it a try and at first it seems to go well, but I just wanted to double check…

To run your extension again you need to remove your extension entry from setup_module table also remove your table which are created by your extension script then run below command

php bin/magento setup:upgrade

Magento 2 – How to Repair Table in Database

You can rename your file app/etc/env.php so Magento 2 will show the installation screen again, no worries all data will keep saved, so run the install process again and run this commands below.

alias mage="php -d memory_limit=-1 -f bin/magento" 
mage cache:clean  
mage cache:flush 
mage indexer:reindex 
mage setup:upgrade 
mage deploy:mode:set developer
