Failed to receive Email alerts on HP ILO 4

I have trouble getting email alerts on one of the HP server DL380 Gen9 on windows server2012 R2
We dont have exchange Server in our Environment.

I tried enabling ILO AlertMail with my Email address

Is there something wrong with my settings?

I didnt tried with SNMP Settings, do i need to configure SNMP first ?

If yes please suggest me how do i configure just to get mail alerts on any Hardware Failure.

I doubt that the ILO4 will relay to Gmail for you. It's a very simple mailer. Notice how there's no way to authenticate against Google/gmail.

If you want the full suite of HP alerts available, you should install and configure the HP SNMP agents on your Windows server and handle your SMTP auth/relay within the OS.

I use esmtp, which is a send-only MTA, for that purpose. It is very simple to set up. It has sendmail-compatible command-line options (some ignored). It's in the repositories.

Here is a simple example:

echo -e "To: Recipient Name <person@example.com>\n\
    From: Me Myself and I <me@gmail.com>\n\
    Subject: Here is the example I promised\n\n\
    $(<somefile)" | /usr/bin/esmtp -t

This sends the contents of the file named "somefile".

There is a very simple configuration file, /etc/esmtprc, that contains the hostname, username and password for your upstream email provider (I'm assuming yours is gmail).

HP Blade ILO not responding in chassis ILO

Yep. Console onto the server OS itself and use the hponcfg app to dump and edit the iLo configuration.

Best bet is to dump the current config to a file, edit, then re-up.
