How to Save Counters Setup in Windows Performance Monitor

I need a comprehensive and complex set of performance counters in windows performance monitor.
At this point every time that I use performance monitor, I have to add the counters, one by one. Is there any way to save the counter set and load it at the later use?

A colleague figured out how to achieve this. Instead of launching Performance Monitor directly:

Launch the Microsoft Management Console (mmc.exe)
File -> Add/Remove Snap-ins
Select Performance Monitor, select Add >, select OK.
Add your desired Counters as usual
File -> Save As...

The resulting .msc file will allow you to restore the Performance Monitor with your saved Counters!

Here's the solution:

Open cmd and run these commands:

regsvr32 /u netfxperf.dll
regsvr32 netfxperf.dll

Note: It seems that if you're running the profiler, and kill IIS without stopping it first, you get this problem.

My guess is that you are logging in one of the "Text File" formats. These cannot be used if you want dynamic activity (new processes, etc.) to be captured.

Instead, use the "Binary File" format to capture your data. This will allow perfmon to capture any dynamic activity for the counters that you assign.

Once you collection is completed, if you wish to open the log in Excel/etc., you can use the relog.exe program (included with Windows...) to convert the binary file into a text file. The syntax is:

relog.exe logfile.blg -f csv -o logfile.csv
