We use qemu virtualization for many years now! It's a great tool! We use it both for Linux VM’s and Windows VM’s! It's the first time we have any issues and I have no clue on where to find the solution.
All Windows 10 VM’s have degraded performance after a Windows Update (I think it’s an anniversary Windows update or something)
The hardware setup:
Host Centos 7 Machine (CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)) : HP ML 380 G8 Server, 192GB Ram, 2 Xeon Processors, SAS Storage.
VM’s: KVM virtualization, Windows 10 version 17134.590 (at least 4GB of RAM)
The problem is that the Guest VM CPU is used all the time at least 60% with no reason. We tried reinstalling virtio drivers, balloon drivers, changing video card type in the VMs. Nothing! Just painfully slow.
We have the same behavior on multiple hosts, all the windows 10 VM’s which were Windows Updated are now slow as hell!!!
Below the Virsh setup of a VM maybe somebody can spot a problem!

Make sure you installed the latest version of the SPICE Guest Tools in the VM.
