Microsoft outlook Mails through Squid Proxy

Today I have configured Squid proxy in my office. it is working fine with out any issue. But from that time, my colleagues are unable to send/receive the emails through Microsoft Outlook (2003 & 2007). But they are able to send the mails using Internet explorer …
Please let me know the sollution to allow the outlook emails through squid proxy.

Squid doesn't proxy SMTP/IMAP/POP/LDAP or whatever else your email clients are using - it supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and gopher.

When you installed the squid server, how did you configure the clients to use it?

I do something similar. I do it using two pieces:

$ cat bin/openproxy
#!/bin/bash
ssh -C -o ServerAliveInterval=150 -L 3128:proxy:3128 gateway.company.com

Then in Firefox, I use FoxyProxy to use localhost:3128 as a proxy for machines in *.company.com.

This works for pretty much everything that I need.

Windows 7, Server 2008, and I believe even Vista don't support NTLMv1 by default. If it's working on XP, but not Windows 7 I would start by enabling NTLMv1 and seeing if it resolves your issue.
