Microsoft SSTP VPN returning HTTP 503

So I have finally set up my certificates correctly and such, so I'm trying to connect to my VPN. The Windows client is giving me an error with the code "0x800704D4". I looked into it and was told to visit a URL, which I did, replacing the FQDN with my own. I'm getting a page saying that there is an 503 Service Unavailable error.

Any idea how I can fix this so I can finally get my VPN set up?

The machine (client) you are using to connect to the VPN server must trust the certificate, and the DNS name used to access VPN should be the same common name that is on the certificate.

You need to copy the cert file to the client machine and import it as a trusted root certificate.

May be sstp-client can do it? And here is network-manager support for it.

There are now Ubuntu packages for recent distributions, so you should be able to add the PPA for eivnaes/network-manager-sstp and install the packages:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:eivnaes/network-manager-sstp
...
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install sstp-client
$ sudo apt-get install network-manager-sstp-gnome # NM configuration GUI
