MX and CNAME records not updating

I have transferred a domain from GoDaddy to Google Domains. About 12 hours ago I changed the name servers to point to Google Domains name servers.

At the same time I added the following MX and CNAME records.

When I run a DNS lookup from ultratools.com I see the name servers are showing up, but the MX and CNAME records are not.

Is there an issue with the way I entered the records, or do I just need to wait a bit longer for the records to be updated?

subdomain must be specifically queried, and your mx records are wrong, the names should be @ but you have the subdomain of 0 and 10

Google's mail server is rejecting the message because, it would appear, that Google doesn't know they're supposed to be the authoritative recipient of those messages. The "clue" is the mention of relaying in the error message. That means that the recipient server is "seeing" the message as a relay attempt, not a local delivery attempt.

Are you certain that Google's service is configured for the correct domain name and all paid-up, provisioned, etc?

Yes, you can have an MX record for a 3rd level domain. You can have a MX record for anything (not that it makes sense in all cases).

Looks like it was a propagation delay because I see it:

 $ host -t mx sfr.continuumconcepts.com
 sfr.continuumconcepts.com mail is handled by 10 sfr.continuumconcepts.com.
