Switch – SNMP MIB file resource

My company(ISP) has 50+ switch models in our network, we manage them via SNMP from our web based intranet, for some Huawei switches we can't figure out the OID's we need (we usualy figure the OID we need our self, beacause we usualy don't receive MIB files from the hardware vendor).

Is there any online archive/resource where we can find MIB files ?

P.S. For example I can't find the OID to save configuration for Huawei S23xx series.

There are publicly available databases like OIDView's MIB database but why don't you simply ask the manufacturer?

Try the following:

snmptrap.exe -v 2c -c xxxxxxx 192.168.100.65

'' <- the first parameter for v2c trap is the agent uptime, it is mandatory and empty parameter will be replaced with current value

s <- indicates string
"123456" <- just a random test-string...

This generates a SNMPv2c trap with the following content (as seen in wireshark):

      variable-bindings: 3 items
            1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0: 878104
            1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.4.1.0: 1.3.6.1.4.1.5089.1.0.1 (iso.3.6.1.4.1.5089.1.0.1)
            1.3.6.1.4.1.5089.2.0.999: 31323334353 (this is 123456 octet string)

This output comes from snmptrap on Linux, but it seems to be the same as on Windows.

Cisco Router – Add a missing MIB file

MIB files are not used directly on your router, rather by the software which reads the output. They basically just map the internal numerical codes into (sort of) human readable descriptions.

support came only on later releases. This is needed for 
collecting data via SNMP. Please verify that whether your 
router IOS supports CISCO-NBAR-PROTOCOL-DISCOVERY-MIB.

The product documentation on the 881w should include a list of applicable SNMP commands and the associated MIB files supported.

I'm not familiar with your netflow analyzer but it would also be possible to be missing the MIB file that you need there. Look at the manual for the netflow analyzer and see if there are any instructions on how to add MIBs. This has mostly been copying the files to the correct directories and one or two commands in the cases I've worked with.
