Sync time of W2k8 server to another W2k8 server – non domain controlled

I have multiple W2k8 R2 servers and one of them uses an outside source to constantly sync time. I'd like to sync all my other servers to that server. This is a simple workgroup and no domain controller is present.

Anyone knows how to achieve this?

I just found an article that describes how to do this.

Jeff, I found this article. Might be of some help to you. You might have already read this but I thought it was worth a shot.

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config\AnnounceFlags
This registry entry controls whether the local computer is marked as a reliable time server (which is only possible if the previous registry entry is set to NTP as described above). Change this REG_DWORD value from 10 to 5 here.

Try this on the PDC hosting the correct time

NET TIME /SETSNTP:time.windows.com 
NET STOP W32TIME
NET START W32TIME
W32TM /config /reliable:YES
W32TM /resync /rediscover

then on each of the "client" NTP machines

W32TM /resync /rediscover
