I have a full height 4" full length 13" PCIe Card that I need to fit into a R310 or other low end rack-mountable server. Will this card fit? clearing the processor fan, memory, etc.
I've poured over the R310 Technical Reference but still have not found an answer.
DRAC cards just use a full or half length PCI slot, depending on the model, so they should fit in the machine if you have them. Whether they work is a different matter, often different models of DRAC cards are only compatible with specific server models. Also to use them you need the Dell Openmanage software, which is usually only included with Dell servers.
If you look at the Dell specs for the DRAC cards, they mention specific models, so I think you may be out of luck:
I asked our Dell account manger this after seeing it on an M910 blade. Apparently it's just an internal factory code that is used for distribution, and doesn't mean anything to an end user.

You will not be able to fit a full-length 13" card in the R310. The usable depth of the slot is less than 7 inches.
The server has a riser with a PCIe slot on either side. The length of the card is limited by the processor cage and the memory bank.
