QCOW2 – How to Convert QCOW2 Images to OVF Format

I have one qcow2 image. But, I need image in ovf format. I know there is already one answer here Any way to convert qcow2 to ovf?, but I don't have vCenter installed with me. So, i am looking for any linux utility or some other way to convert?

A ovf file is a desription file for your vm hardware. Number of CPUs, Memory, Disk Files, Network interfaces and no Disk Image. It is the open form of a .vmx File.

You can't convert a disk image to a ovf.

Another solution I found for the same conversion requirement is to install QEMU on Windows and use the same syntax as for regular qemu-img

C:\Program Files\qemu>qemu-img.exe convert -O qcow2 image1.vmdk image1.qcow2

Redhat – virt-convert OVF to KVM

Since you have the disk image from the export domain, why not simply create a new VM in virt-manager or virsh, with the same params the RHEV one had, and attach the disk image to it?
