Xterm color theme in Linux terminal style

In case of using command to launch xterm windows, the options I have so far is xterm -fn 8x16 -geometry 100x30. It's with white background and black font color. I was wondering if it's possible to have Linux Konsole/Terminal style color theme (black background, white font color, ls with colored result).

Yes.

Specifically you want the -bg and -fg parameters, and probably a few others that you'll find in the man page for xterm.
You can also set these values via the .Xresources file so you don't have to pass them as command-line arguments every time.

This command will turn the effect on for any XTerms started later:

titeInhibit (class TiteInhibit)

The bg option sets the X window background and has nothing to do with the emulation or the 256-color escape codes interpreted by the terminal.

According to the documentation, the escape sequence is:

ESC[48;5;***xxx***m (To set the background)
ESC[38;5;***xxx***m (To set the foreground)

Where xxx is the color value as follows:

0-15 are the standard ANSI colors
16-231 are a 6x6x6 RGB color cube given by ((36 * r) + (6 * g) + b + 16) with r,g,b in [0..5]
232-255 are a greyscale ramp without black and white.
