Clearing macros

The following command removes all variables, scalars and programs that I add:

clear all

However, global and local macros stick around.

I would like to know how to clear these out:

You can drop all macros with:

macro drop _all

This is documented in help macro and the corresponding manual entry.

Maybe you want file.path()?

a <- "c:"
b <- "users"
c <- "charles"
d <- "desktop"

setwd(file.path(a,b,c,d))
getwd()
#----
[1] "c:/users/charles/desktop"

You can wrap source or read.XXX or whatever else around that to do what you want.
