If I set the zoom of a tab to 120%, then when opening new tabs, Visual Studio 2012 should open them with a 120% zoom factor and not 100% (the default).
But when reopening, Visual Studio the Zoom Percentage should be preserved (120%).
Is there is any way to solve the issue?
In Visual Studio 2012, open the Options dialog (Tools -> Options). Under Environment -> General, the first setting is "Color theme." You can use this to switch between Light and Dark.
The shell theme is distinct from the editor theme--you can use any editor fonts and colors settings with either shell theme.
There is also a Color Theme Editor extension that can be used to create new themes.
Richard Banks posted about a registry key for just such a tweak.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\General
DWORD: SuppressUppercaseConversion
Value: 1
In PowerShell, you can run this to set that registry key and the uppercase goes away.
Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\General -Name SuppressUppercaseConversion -Type DWord -Value 1
The above registry key is not the one that will affect Visual Studio Express 2012 RC. A comment by FormatC showed up on Banks post about the key for Express. You can find that key mentioned in Mike Gleason's answer or run the following PowerShell command to set it.
Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\VSWinExpress\11.0\General -Name SuppressUppercaseConversion -Type DWord -Value 1

Replace 11.0 with 12.0 in the registry keys above.
Replace 11.0 with 14.0 in the registry keys above.

If you are simply zooming so the text in your editor is bigger, then why not just increase the font size?
Open TOOLS -> OPTIONS, under the 'Environment' tab select 'Fonts and Colors', and change the font size to whatever you want.

As @Anovative pointed out in his comment and answer below, there is now a way to set default zoom within Visual Studio 2013 (and subsequent versions I'd assume).
