Ios – How to trigger cancel button in UISearchBar

1. You will only need a ScrollView if the contents you have now do not fit in the iPhone screen. (If you are adding the ScrollView as the superview of the components just to make the TextField scroll up when keyboard comes up, then it's not needed.)

2. The standard way to prevent the TextFields from being covered by the keyboard is to move the view up/down whenever the keyboard is shown.

Here is some sample code:

You can use UIAppearance to style the cancel button without iterating subviews of the UISearchBar, but the UIButton header does not currently have any methods annotated with UI_APPEARANCE_SELECTOR.

EDIT: Drill down the subviews till you get that cancel button

But this usually returns nil until searchBar.setShowsCancelButton(true, animated: true) is called.
