Java – Any Java “API” to generate Sample XML from XSD

As part of our application we need to develop a module that takes in an XSD schema and gives out a sample XML. The XSD schemas will be supplied during runtime. So is there any Java API out there that can do the job?

Searched this forum and found the following similar questions. But the discussions were around tools to generate sample XML from XSD. Could not find any reference to APIs.

In Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and later the XML Schema Explorer can create an XML document with some basic sample data:

Open your XSD document
Switch to XML Schema Explorer
Right click the root node and choose "Generate Sample Xml"

Java – How to call one constructor from another in Java

Yes, it is possible:

public class Foo {
    private int x;

    public Foo() {
        this(1);
    }

    public Foo(int x) {
        this.x = x;
    }
}

To chain to a particular superclass constructor instead of one in the same class, use super instead of this. Note that you can only chain to one constructor, and it has to be the first statement in your constructor body.
