Powershell – unzip file using 7z in powershell

What is the command to unzip a file using 7z in powershell?

set-alias sz "$env:ProgramFiles\7-Zip\7z.exe"
sz x  $zipfilePath $destinationUnzipPath -aoa -r;

The command works fine but it says no files to process, everything is Ok rather than unzipping the file?

This finally worked for me sz x -o$destinationUnzipPath $zipfilePath -r ;

If, some time during a PowerShell session, you need to append to the PATH environment variable temporarily, you can do it this way:

$env:Path += ";C:\Program Files\GnuWin32\bin"

If you need your path to be called before standard one, insert it at the beginning

Remove-Item -Recurse -Force some_dir

does indeed work as advertised here.

rm -r -fo some_dir

are shorthand aliases that work too.

As far as I understood it, the -Recurse parameter just doesn't work correctly when you try deleting a filtered set of files recursively. For killing a single dir and everything below it seems to work fine.
