R – PHP + POST an HTML form from inside an iFrame and redirect parent

Dynamically create <input>s in a form and submit it

EDIT: Since this has gotten upvoted so much, I'm guessing people will be copy-pasting this a lot. So I added the hasOwnProperty check to fix any inadvertent bugs.

Assume your iFrame's id is "targetFrame" and the function you want to call is targetFunction():

document.getElementById('targetFrame').contentWindow.targetFunction();

You can also access the frame using window.frames instead of document.getElementById.
