Yellow icon for wamp server

the icon of wamp server is yellow, I tried in:

1.Open file httpd.conf through wamp tray icon

Find:

# onlineoffline tag - don't remove
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
Allow from 127.0.0.1

Change to:

# onlineoffline tag - don't remove
Order Deny,Allow
Allow from all

no change!

2.left click the wamp icon > Put Online

no change, still online put yellow icon –> locall host not work

3.apache –> service –> start service –> not work
4.apache –> service –> test port 80 –>

your port actually used by:
server : Microsoft

I don't know what to do?

Ok, i figured this out. What is happening is Skype is blocking port 80. So, you have to do the following:

Right click on skype.
Click on quit and allow it to quit.
Left click on the Wamp Server icon
Click Start all services.
Thats it! If you want to use skype, do all of the steps (1-4) then start skype again.

Finally found the solution ..... I am sharing this solution

There are couple of ways to stop IIS 7.5

Best one is:

Open a CMD prompt (as Admin) and type this:

iisreset /stop Here is a snapshot:
Next option if you still cannot stop the IIS 7.5

Final option is to change the port number as the last option httpd.conf

PS: Don't forget to restart the WAMP once fixing the errors

Just disable and stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (This shuts down IIS forever) - - -(You need to use Run from the starting point in windows):

sc config w3svc start= disabled
net stop w3svc

If you don't want it disabled, but manual instead, replace disabled by demand (don't remove space).

By default , the WAMP server will take 80 as its working port.

You can change that port number as you like ... here are the steps to do that:

click on WAMP server tray icon
click on apache
select http.conf

Here notepad will open ...

scroll down and you will see the port number that WAMP server takes ...
change that port number to:
```
#Listen x.x.x.x:8080
Listen 8080
```
save that file and restart the services... it will work fine...
now check by typing http://localhost:8080/.
