How to uninstall .vsix Visual Studio Extensions

I am currently trying to install the XNA Game Studio for Visual Studio Express 2013. And I accidentally ran the .vsix program BEFORE actually installing the XNA framework.

After installing it and re-running the .vsix, I get a message error saying that the extension has already been installed. Which is not false.

I have tried a lot of things to "delete" the empty extension : going in %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\VisualStudio and trying to find the extension, but finding myself with nothing, for example.

I would like to know how I can properly uninstall and reinstall the framework.

In the menu, go to:

Visual Studio 2017: Tools > Extensions And Updates
Visual Studio 2019: Extensions > Manage Extensions

A new window will pop up, then in the panel to the left, click the arrow besides Installed to bring it down and select the menu item All.

All you have to do now is to navigate in the middle panel to your installed exstension, select it and click Uninstall.

Visual Studio 2012 (Full)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\General
DWORD: SuppressUppercaseConversion
Value: 1

In PowerShell, you can run this to set that registry key and the uppercase goes away.

Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\General -Name SuppressUppercaseConversion -Type DWord -Value 1

Visual Studio Express 2012

The above registry key is not the one that will affect Visual Studio Express 2012 RC. A comment by FormatC showed up on Banks post about the key for Express. You can find that key mentioned in Mike Gleason's answer or run the following PowerShell command to set it.

Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\VSWinExpress\11.0\General -Name SuppressUppercaseConversion -Type DWord -Value 1

Visual Studio Express 2012 for Web

Set-ItemProperty -Path HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\VWDExpress\11.0\General -Name SuppressUppercaseConversion -Type DWord -Value 1

Visual Studio 2013

Replace 11.0 with 12.0 in the registry keys above.

Visual Studio 2015 Developer Preview

Replace 11.0 with 14.0 in the registry keys above.

Execute these commands in the terminal (excluding the lines with hashtags - they're comments):

If you would like to delete all projects:

rm -Rf ~/AndroidStudioProjects

To remove gradle related files (caches & wrapper)

rm -Rf ~/.gradle

Use the below command to delete all Android Virtual Devices(AVDs) and keystores.

Note: This folder is used by other Android IDEs as well, so if you still using other IDE you may not want to delete this folder)

rm -Rf ~/.android

To delete Android SDK tools

rm -Rf ~/Library/Android*

Emulator Console Auth Token

rm -Rf ~/.emulator_console_auth_token

Notes

The flags for rm are case-sensitive¹ (as with most other commands), which means that the f flag must be in lower case. However, the r flag can also be capitalised.
The flags for rm can be either combined together or separated. They don't have to be combined.

What the flags indicate

The r flag indicates that the rm command should-

attempt to remove the file hierarchy rooted in each file argument. - DESCRIPTION section on the manpage for rm (See man rm for more info)
The f flag indicates that the rm command should-
