Can this form builder allow me to have 3 check boxes, each check box (once checked) needs to have a corresponding value of £50 in a box 4. So if I check all 3 boxes then £150 will be shown in box 4?

I'm a developer with Cognito Forms. Unfortunately, a checkbox can only have two states, checked or unchecked, which equates to true or false in the context of a calculation. However, I do believe you can accomplish your requirement by using the "Radio Buttons" option for the Choice field, without it looking strange or odd. A Choice field does not require a default value therefore you do not need a third option to represent that null state. For a choice field to not have a default selection, the checkbox next to all Choices should be unchecked. I included a couple of screenshots to help explain this configuration. The first one is the configuration for the "Radio Buttons" Choice field and the second is a Yes/No field configured to be visible when the Choice field value is "Yes". I hope this helps. Hopefully, I am not misunderstanding your requirement.
It's in the submission settings of the Build tab, at the way bottom of the screen click on submission settings. Then click inside the white box where it says Notification settings. Another window will pop up, uncheck the box that says "Include Blank Fields?" click Save. This should resolve your issue and only provide the data that was filled out in the form.

I'm a developer with Cognito Forms.
You can add values to Choice field items, but you cant set the values to add up into the 4th option in the Choice field. You can set up a Calculation field to add up the values outside of the Choice field.
You can also select to not show the price values in the Choice field if you would rather the end user not see them.
In the following screenshots you will see what the Choice field settings look like. Followed by what the Choice field looks like with the Calculation field set up under it, targeting the Choice field. The last image is what this looks like when active on the form for the end user.
