Is there a way to write custom text inside the name box?
For example when you add the name box it will add the two boxes and in them there are faint words saying 'first' and 'last'. The reason I want to change these is because I'm creating contact for other languages.
I am a developer for Cognito Forms.
Assume you have a Currency field called Utilities and a Choice field called Timeframe, with the options Monthly and Yearly. Your calculations would then be:
Monthly Amount
=Utilities / (Timeframe = "Monthly" ? 1 : 12)
Yearly Amount
=Utilities * (Timeframe = "Yearly" ? 1 : 12)
And of course you can just keep adding on additional items to the calculation for each type of cost.
I'm a developer with Cognito Forms. Unfortunately, a checkbox can only have two states, checked or unchecked, which equates to true or false in the context of a calculation. However, I do believe you can accomplish your requirement by using the "Radio Buttons" option for the Choice field, without it looking strange or odd. A Choice field does not require a default value therefore you do not need a third option to represent that null state. For a choice field to not have a default selection, the checkbox next to all Choices should be unchecked. I included a couple of screenshots to help explain this configuration. The first one is the configuration for the "Radio Buttons" Choice field and the second is a Yes/No field configured to be visible when the Choice field value is "Yes". I hope this helps. Hopefully, I am not misunderstanding your requirement.

In addition to localized support for thirteen languages, we will also now fully support customization of all user interface text and error messages. This means, that as long as you are embedding our forms, you will be able to add a small bit of simple JavaScript to fully customize any system-defined text on your forms. Localization of the name placeholder text would look something like this:
