My question is about the behavior of conditional logic within sections.
How do you reference a field outside of the section? It does not show in basic editor, and I do not know how to access these via the advanced editor.
This is the error I get when I type in the name of a field inside another section using the advanced editor:
Replicating this in a field that is not in a section works just fine.

Currently Range Validation (ie min and/or max values) is supported on Number, Date, and Currency fields. We have recently added support to support this same Range Validation on Price and Calculation fields. That feature will be released early next week.
To enable this Range Validation add the appropriate field to the builder. At the bottom of the Field Settings there is a Range option that supports both Minimum and Maximum Values. This can be used to require that the input of the field is between the specified Minimum and Maximum values. You do not have to enter both a Min and a Max, you can specify one, the other, both, or neither. The Min/Max values can specify either a static value or calculation.

You are very close to getting the calculation to work, AddDays takes an integer value and the value and what you were generating is a decimal value. You will need to add a little extra code to your Due Date calculation to get it running correctly.
=DateTime.Today.AddDays(Int32(CalculatedTime))
One other change I would make to your calculation in the CalculatedTime field would be to remove the quotation marks (") from around the numebrs, so your calculation looks like this:
=ProjectType = "Flyer: Up to 30 Products" ? 7 : ProjectType = "Flyer: Up to 60 Products" ? 12 : ProjectType = "Flyer: 60+ Products" ? 18 : 7

You can definitely access fields in other sections in Cognito Forms.
You need to reference the top level form as well as possibly a section name.
