For years I uploaded all my pictures to Facebook via the Speedy Uploader app for Android. As of yesterday, all my pictures are gone since the original owner of the Facebook app deleted it from the Facebook App Store. Now all pictures of all users that uploaded pictures to Facebook via this app are lost!
The new owner of the app doesn’t know if he will get the rights to the Facebook app and Facebook hasn’t answered to several emails.
What can I do to get my pictures back?
It appears there's no way to do this, unfortunately.
What I ended up doing was to do the going-forward arrangement, and then work back a couple of months, making corrections manually (#1). Better than nothing. There is also the issue of my comments on others' posts being visible. In my case, I think this is "good enough", though I do wish there was a better solution available (without programmering).
It might be possible to use the Facebook API to achieve this, but I didn't see anything ready-made with some quick searching.
Go to the Gear Icon > Account Settings > Notifications > Email, then check if it's set to either 'All notifications, except the ones you unsubscribe from' or 'Important notifications about you or activity you've missed'. Also, check if you've unsubscribed to emails about Birthday Reminders. If yes, click on the corresponding 'Turn On' link.

I emailed the Speedy Uploader team and got no reply. They did not reply on Facebook either. The pix are gone unless the makers or new owners get the app and past storage servers up and running again.
