If I send many friend requests to someone and afterwards I need to cancel all of them, because if I don't do that I'll be blocked, how do I do this?

You can go to their profile and cancel the friend request.
Or else, you can use this Google-Crome Extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/elioihkkcdgakfbahdoddophfngopipi to see the list of people who haven't accepted your friend request yet.
There's only the limit of having 5,000 friends and the unknown limit of friend requests you can send. The former is there because nobody can have so many active connections (if you're a public person wanting to be in touch with your fan base, you should use a Page not a profile). The latter is there to prevent spam and it's unknown for that reason.

Click on "Find Friends"
Click on "View sent requests"
Open the menu for the request you want to cancel, choose "Cancel Request", and confirm.
Facebook does not appear to offer a way to cancel Friend Requests in bulk. You'll need to do it one at a time.
