When you send a message as a text, the receiver will receive that message in his/her Facebook inbox first and then Facebook will send a notification/message to that user if he/she is using SMS message alert services. So one message will be in that user's Facebook inbox, and one message will be forwarded to him/her by Facebook SMS alert services.

Messages on the left side of your homepage - Open the conversation you want to forward a message from
- From the
Actions menu, click Forward Messages… - Use the checkboxes to select what messages you want to forward
- Click Forward
- Enter a name or email address and press Send
Also, to push notifications on or off from your smartphone:
Smartphones:
- Tap
(top-left main menu) > scroll to the bottom of the menu - Tap Settings & Privacy > Notifications > Email
- Tap the setting you want to use
Feature phones:
- Click Settings (bottom of every page)
- Click Facebook Notifications
- Adjust the frequency of your email notifications > Save

Easier is having Messenger App managing the SMSs too on your phone (if you send sms from your messenger is already enabled to that), and after just simply forwarding some message to the contact having that phone number. The contact with telephone number will appear with magenta color instead with a photo or something on his icon.
Or, if you don't have enabled managing both (Facebook contacts and SMSs) you cant just forwarding. But you can simply copy/paste from Messenger to the Messages app (app intended for SMS).
