Is there a way to post a photo when I leave a comment in Facebook?
I want to be able to include an inline image when I comment.
Or is this not enabled/allowed?

My understanding of the "Hide this post" functionality is that it will hide that post and all future comments, like etc on that particular post.
If another friend posted the same picture again you would have to hide that post too. Facebook isn't intelligent enough to recognise, what are essentially, duplicate posts.
On each post there is a timestamp at the lower right, usually after the number of comments and likes on the post.
Click the timestamp and you'll be taken to a page focussing on just that wall post like so:
From there you can keep clicking "View previous comments" to reveal all previous comments.

Facebook does not have such a feature yet. You can only attach images to your "notes" and "messages". Your only chance is to paste the link to the image as a text in your comment.
