Facebook – Trying to get Facebook API but get redirected back to the Page

Facebook is removing application profile pages, which were previously the way that you added an app to a page. Now you can use a link, which you can add on your web page for example, to allow people to add the app to their page. You can also enter the link directly in your browser:

https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=YOUR_APP_ID&next=YOUR_URL

Change YOUR_APP_ID to your numeric app id and YOUR_URL to the secure canvas URL on your app (or you can try http://www.facebook.com/). More information can be found here and here.

I believe that this could be regarded (by Facebook) as a feature, rather than a bug.

I can't find it now, but am certain that I've seen a reference to it in Facebook's documentation, with a comment that the "fix" it to switch back to using FB as yourself instead of as a page.
