Facebook – URL to Open Page with UserID

An alternative method, is to use the Pidgin chat client instead.

The settings you need are:

• Protocol: XMPP
• Username: [your current Facebook username] (see step 1)

• Domain: chat.facebook.com

  1. Currently, you’ll need a Facebook Username (ie, facebook.com/mikeknoop).

  2. Open up Pidgin, Click Accounts, then Manage Accounts. Now click Add.

  3. Fill in the Basic tab with the following details:

• Resource: [unused, you may leave blank]

• Password: [your current Facebook password]

  1. On the Advanced tab, make sure all SSL options are unchecked.

  2. Click Add. You’re done!

This is an answer by someone on Facebook help center; thought to share it with you guys, maybe it is really working:

1. Log in to your account then go the Ads manager page https://www.facebook.com/ads/manage/
2. From the right menu, click Settings then you can see Close Ads account. Chose Other and write account changed to Facebook ads by mistake then submit.

If you get "Account pending closure", just wait for a couple of minutes; if it not changed then hit close ads account again and repeat the whole thing till it says "Your advertising account has been closed..."

After that you have to wait (in my case was 2 weeks) and it will automatically change back.
