I was looking for restaurants in my home town and I found one that closed some years ago (in fact it changed its name and now it is completely different). Is there any way to notify this to Google?

Road.li lets you put in your start point, end point, and a query, and it will show you places that match the query along your route. It also shows how much time each place adds to your trip.
It is a tool that I created.
In the bottom right corner of the map, you'll see a tiny link: 
. This will bring up the Report A Problem dialog.

If this still doesn't work, the map provider is always listed at the bottom of the map. Chances are good that they will have their own way for submitting corrections. You'd need to identify the provider and then do a search.

You can report the error to Google from the marker on the map.

It appears that you can't report it then. I've had a look around but there doesn't seem to be a simple "Report here" link.
