Google-sheets – Google Spreadscheet COUNTIF in ARRAYFORMULA

I'm trying to make a work/project overview, but I'm stuck. Hope you guys can help me out.

The countif formula checks for how much times the criteria is the same. As you can see in the image, Gregor has worked 1 time on Project A. The answer is 1. That's correct. But now I want to check the hours worked on it. So the answer should be 8.

Can someone help me out?

There is a similar function SUMIF(), which sums the matches instead of counting them.

The solution, as I understand it, is as follows.

By setting a FILTER formula (array & condition) you create the first step, the "what are we looking for, specifically" then that formula gets wrapped in a SUM formula which adds the array values.

So, in the case above =SUM(FILTER(B:B,A:A="June")) this formula is looking for the values, all of them, in column B and then it filters the results if those values meet the criteria, in my case anything with June. Lastly, it adds those values. Here you can see the updated sheet with the formula in action.
