See the below chart that was created from Google Sheets:
I want to reorder the positioning of the bars in the x-axis – for example, move the "Over $121" bar to the far right and move the "Between $21 to $40" bar to be second to the left. The only thing that I see that's even close to reordering is reversing the order, which is not what I want to do. Any suggestions?
Maybe this has been fixed in New Google Sheets because it works for me (indeed, it is VERY simple):
Select A1:B3, Insert, Chart..., click Line chart, Insert.
Seems happy to work with DMY format and, as it happens, text for dates (since happening to be 4 months apart the x-axis spacing to be equal is about correct anyway).
A query may be more straightforward:
=query(data!A:F,"select A,C,D,E,F,B where A>=date'2017-06-01' AND A<date'2017-07-01'")
since selection is by letter rather than sheet+column and it is quite easy to include or exclude headers, limit the output, change the order etc all at the same time.

Change the order in the spreadsheet that is the source for this chart. Afaik, neither sheets nor excel let you change the order of data directly on the chart.
