This seems like it would be a common question but I can't seem to find the proper way to express it as I can't find an answer.

Say after row 4, I want E#n = C#n + D#n. That is, for the nth row in column E, the value should be the sum of the nth row in column C plus the nth row in column D. How do I do this? Do I really have to write a separate formula for every line?

The behavior you're looking for is the default behavior for spreadsheet programs like excel and google sheets. In row 5, column E just type =C5+D5 press enter to accept the formula, then hover your mouse over the lower right corner of the cell to get the '+' cursor, then double click of drag to fill down.

Looks like I gave in too fast.

7 day running total: =Sum(Filter(D2:D8,A2:A8<=A8,A2:A8>A8-7))

Filter returns a range of data, filtered based on multiple (can have more than 2 conditions). In the case I'm returning D2:D8 (my count column) filtered where A2:A8 (my date column) is less than the current date (A8) and greater than the current date - 7 days. Stick this in the 7th cell, and drag the cell out to manipulate the formulae into the following cells.

Then for 7 day running average (assuming the above in F) G8 = F8 / 7 :)

If you have multiple sums in the formula, you need multiple SUM commands, one for each sum. That is,

=F15*20+SUM(F16:F20)*25+SUM(F21:F23)*30

Have to add things up before multiplying them all by a common factor.
