Google-sheets – Trying to mail merge information from several different tabs of a Google sheet

Here is an example of how to do this. When "update" or "edit" is selected from the dropdown boxes, data from the other, designated tab's rows are copied into the current sheet.

Here is the script:

A solution to this problem is simply creating different spreadsheets, and then having a "summary" spreadsheet that references those other spreadsheets using the method described in this Google forum post.
