I needed an image of a robot for a presentation, and I wanted an image with a free (e.g. creative commons) license. I searched in Google images "robot free", but got mostly royalty-free images (i.e. after you buy the image, you are free to use it).
I remember that once it was possible to search in Google for images with a public-domain or creative-commmons license, but now I cannot find it. Where is it?
Google recently started indexing SVG files;

It should be there as a 'filetype' option in the advanced images search;

There doesn't seem to be any way to save Google Image search preferences, even when logged in to Google, which is a bit strange. I would have thought this would be something that a lot of people would use.
Anyway, you could probably create a little piece of JavaScript and add to your toolbar as a bookmarklet to do this.

CC Search gives access to Google free images, and a few other types too.
