Tumblr – How to Link to Latest Post on Tumblr

Mehper's answer no longer works, as Kirk Woll mentions. As of Feb 2015, you need the following URL to edit:

https://www.tumblr.com/edit/<post_id>?redirect_to=%2Fblog%2F<blog_name>

Replacing < post_id> with your post ID # (example: 406783219) and replacing < blog_name> with the domain of your blog, without the tumblr.com part (example: staff).

https://www.tumblr.com/edit/406783219?redirect_to=%2Fblog%2Fstaff

Obviously, you have to be logged in to your account first, and have the appropriate edit permissions.

To publish to your tumblr you can send an email to a private email address which can be found out by following these steps:

1. Click your blog's name at the top of your Dashboard or under the list icon at the top right.

2. Click "Blog settings" on the right side of the page.

3. You’ll find your private email address in the “Post by Email” section. (You can always reset this if you’re having issues publishing.)

The settings page has a URL looking like http://www.tumblr.com/blog/<name>/settings.
