I am receiving messages on Slack from Jenkins via the Slack Plugin. I noticed that the message body is collapsed when it gets to a certain length as shown in the screenshot.

I would like to expand these messages by default because I cannot see what happened on Jenkins. I have to manually click on "Show more…" for every message.
I am using the Slack App for Mac v.2.6.3. I could not find a setting in the preferences.
On the browser view, click on the drop down menu next to your team's name on Preferences. Then click on Messages and media on the left-hand side. Then, under the section Inline Media & Links you will find checkboxes for
Uncheck whichever of those that you want and you are set!
UPDATE: It seems it's now possible
Not as it is at the moment, no, unfortunately.
One thing you can do, is to mute the channel.
If that is not an option, then you're out of luck. The last thing I heard about this was in august 2015, where this tweet was made by Slack on Twitter:

I myself have been using this userstyle as I'm only using Slack for WordPress: https://userstyles.org/styles/106647/wordpress-slack-hide-join-leave. I don't know if this is something you will be able to modify or user for other use cases.
WordPress also links to this at their official page about Slack, so I'm guessing that there isn't an official solution out there yet :/

The latest version of the Jenkins plugin is using a block kit based interface and it is free from the issues described above.
