Trello – How to Let Users Add Cards to Public Board

I want to use a public Trello board as a public suggestion box. Optimally, I'd include the link in a blog post in the header of my website, and I'd ask users to "add a card" for each unique suggestion.

Unfortunately, at the moment it appears Trello users (who are not members of a board) cannot create cards on public boards. They can only comment on cards themselves.

Is there any way around this? Is there any way to allow all Trello users to create cards on a public Trello board?

Trello now offers an invite collaborators by URL feature (currently in beta).

Steps

Show Menu
Add Members > Invite people by giving them a special link…
Place the URL in a conspicuous place like your website or a Readme card of some sort along with some instructions for your collaborators.

You could get this behavior right now by creating an organization and inviting everyone you want to be able to vote and comment to the organization, then creating a board within the organization and making your internal users the members of the board. Then go to board preferences and make the board visibile, votable, and commentable to organization members. It's a slight abuse of organizations, but it'll get you the behavior you want.

The side effect, right now, will be that the organization's existence, and its memberships, will be public-visible. Private orgs are in test right now (https://trello.com/card/board/private-organization-profile-option/4d5ea62fd76aa1136000000c/4e7206a8ec4fdc00003e63e7) so if the organization needs to be completely invisible to the public, you would want to wait for that.

Trello doesn't have this feature, unfortunately....
I have a similar situation, and the only way I can think of is to manually create real users

The only trick I've found is that you can use a single gmail address for multiple accounts by adding periods to it. eg:

myname@gmail.com
m.yname@gmail.com
m.y.name@gmail.com
m.y.n.ame@gmail.com

Trello will treat them as unique addresses, but gmail will treat them as the same.

I know it's not much but at least it's something...
