How does one ensure on posting that a tweet having a URL will not show a picture placeholder e.g.

Remarkably, just include an image. However this inhibits the entire substitution of URL with round-cornered item rather than remedies the placeholder specifically.

Note: this placeholder is a result of

a) The entered tweet including a URL - Twitter replaces the URL with the round-cornered item you see:

which includes the URL except with any www. removed.

and

b) apparently, at display time, Twitter failing to fetch a picture from the URL landing page. I'd guess due to time-out. Certainly the result varies from page view to page view.
