Twitter – Setting the “Thanks for following me” text seen by a new Twitter follower
twitter
I want to modify the default text that gets sent out to new Twitter followers.
How can this be done?

As far as I know twitter has no option for sending an automatic DM to your new followers.
You are probably using a 3rd party service like socialoomph (formerly TweetLater) that does this for you.
You should check out the settings on your web services which are connected to your twitter account.
If you use FeedBurner to manage the RSS of your blog, you can go to the Publicize tab, then click on the Socialize sidebar link and set-up FeedBurner to post on Twitter when a new post comes up (it has more options then FriendFeed).
The simplest RSS aggregators are ones such as rssmix, which I used a few times in the past, it's very simple.
On the other hand, there are social aggregators, such as Waaffle and Taggbox, which I believe has some more comfortable and user friendly capabilities, but I've never tried them.
